The students and staff of Dame Dorothy Primary School came together this morning to put on their festive running shoes in aid of St Benedict’s Hospice! The children asked their families and friends to sponsor them for this year’s Reindeer Run to raise vital funds for the Hospice. There was a sea of Christmas jumpers gallivanting across the playground and field which would bring a smile to anyone’s face; it was extraordinary to see the children un-phased by the cold, all in the name of charitable spirit. ⭐

Thanks to the generosity of the students, their parents, and corporate supporters such as Sunderland council, Sunderland Unison and Greggs, the total amount raised for St Benedict’s is over £1000! On behalf over everyone at St Benedict’s Hospice – THANK YOU! #TeamBenedict 💛💙

With everyone’s help, we’ve raised over £2700 for the Hospice, with some donations still to come in! Thank you to everyone that volunteered at the event and to the external vendors for bringing such beautiful things for our supporters to shop.💛💙
